Rod Haynes is a native Rhode Islander who now resides in Bellingham, Washington with the love of his life, wife Daria. Rod has written five books since 2000 - ROGUES ISLAND MEMOIR (Free River Press, Publisher), 100 BOWEN STREET, ZOEYS TALE and OTHER SHORT FICTION, and his latest work, BEFORE THE SCRAMBLE: A SCOTTISH MISSIONARY'S STORY. Two new books are nearing production.

 

Rod lists Richard Russo, John Steinbeck, Jim Harrison, David McCullough, Sherwood Anderson, and Thomas Wolfe among his favorite writers. Outside of writing and photography, Rod is a diehard Boston Red Sox fan who loves the outdoors, reading, listening to the Beatles and other classic rock music, and traveling. Bentley, their beloved mixed-lab dog, reports his satisfaction with his living arrangements, to date. Rod and Daria share four adult children.
